London, Ahhhh!

London, UK

How Many Days? 2 (as it was my 2nd time)
Food - How Much? 17 pounds/meal
Hotel - How Much?  150 pounds/night (Hostel 23 pounds/night)
Overall Experience was... WONDERFUL!

Ahh London! It was my second time there, how not to fall in love? First time was in 2015, I had the opportunity to visit this Amazing city with the first flatmates that I have lived with in Dublin, we went to London to spent Christmas together as we didn’t have our family in Ireland with us, yeah, well... it was fun, but a bit sad as we all ended up crying together in the kitchen at the Hostel on Christmas Eve.
Second time was a bit different haha a bit more luxurious and relaxing, if you had told me that I would be able to stay in a room with this view years ago I would definitely laugh in your face, but there I was... enjoying a weekend with a friend on the top floor before heading into the countryside to do my Life Coach, NLP, Hypnoses course, exactly in Hitchin, about 1h 30min away from London.

My Number 1 TIP in London...

Are you ready? GOSH it is a MUST-DO experience!
We had the most incredible lunch at Bustronome London! We spent over two hours on the tour, the bus passed by the main attractions in London while we were having 4 courses lunch. It costs around 80 pounds, including 4 courses meal and 2 glasses of wine! Such a unique moment, I would do it over and over, definitely better than I could ever think!

Where Should I stay in London?

We stayed in the Royal Lancaster, a 5 stars Hotel, very well located! The place was like a castle, amazing in every detail. I have to say I am very pick with breakfasts, it is not easy to make me happy and satisfied, but they were just PERFECT, I do not think I will ever forget, so many options to choose from, I was definitely lost... I was kinda like... can I can keep some for later, please?

Well this is about my second experience, about the one in 2015, I stayed in a Hostel also well located that I paid around 20 pounds/night and shared the room with 20 more people. I will not recommend the Hostel because I have been in way better Hostels in my life and I am sure London has better options. I "lost" 100 pounds in the Hostel (but I really believe someone had stolen from me) and the rooms were very tight for so many beds!

What about the food? What's the average price?

If I say London is a cheap place, I will be lying... like definitely! You will spend around 45 pounds if you wanna get starter + main + glass of wine, for exemple!

I would recommend 2 very nice restaurants in London:
  1. The Ivy Market Grill, a Classic Modern European Restaurant. I was looking for a cool place for a special occasion, I was meeting one of my dearest friends, we shared a room in Dublin for almost 2 years.  So, The Ivy was a perfect fit, such an elegant space!
  2. Chucs Mayfair Restaurants,  Mediterranean eats served all day in a boutique with garden terrace. It was amazing to spent our last night there!
My first time in London, I would say I spent 70 pounds in 4 days... I mean, I ate basically Mc Donald's, pizza and I was also getting food in Tesco to cook in the Hostel.
So, if your budget is not too high right now, don’t worry, it’s fine, it's still possible to go to London, but it's just gonna be a different experience, that is also good and unique!

As I said previously, this trip was more a relaxing weekend as I had visited everything before in my first time in London, so I didn’t want to get crazy to fit a plenty of stuff in and just stress myself (what happened in anyways, but I planned not to). We stayed 4 days the first time and it was basically enough to see the main attractions.

Cheers!!!
Thanks for being here!
