Value & Quality? Divine food, amazing experience!

I had the pleasure to visit one of the Indie Spice Grill Restaurants last weekend, we chose the one in Swords and we definitely couldn't be happier about our experience! The staff were very helpful and suggested the best meals, just exactly what I was looking for... something tasty, very Indian, but not very spicy (this time I found out that not all Indian meals are spicy).

One of the reasons we picked the one in Swords is because they have an open kitchen and it would make the experience even nicer! Their extensive knowledge of regional Indian food makes them an ambassador of Indian Cuisine here in Dublin. A special fact is that most of the meals are low-fat and healthy. They use only lean, local meat and responsibly sourced vegetables. The lentils, beans pulses, exotic herbs and exotic spices maximize taste, increase fiber and contain lower levels of fat, salt and sugar.

Our starters were superb and quite large! I went for Indie Lamb Chop and my boyfriend for Onion Bhajee! The lamb was melting, so succulent, it was cooked perfectly. Both dishes were recommended by the waitress who was very kind and could easily find something great for us.

Of course, if you pick the lamb, definitely get a glass of red to complement the flavor, I went for the Organic Shiraz, which I would also highly recommend.

My main was incredible, honestly. I picked the Jal Tarangi Jhinga which was jumbo prawns, fennel, saffron essence, gram flour yoghurt, served with basmati rice, a beautiful Kurma sauce and fennel salad.

It was my favorite plate of Indian food ever, the sauce brought all the flavors together, once again thanks to the lovely waitress that suggested this divine dish.

For dessert I got the traditional Indian option available, Gulab Jamun. I was thinking about going for the Chocolate Brownie, but what is the point of having Indian starter, Indian main and not finish with Indian dessert? Glad about my choice, although it is very sweet, it was perfect for me as I am a sweet lover!

He chose the Barbary Duck, that is the barbary duck male breast, mixed peppers tossed with Jalfrezi sauce... Did I try? Of course! And I can say it was not a beautiful plate of food, but a combination of the best tastes. The duck was very well seasoned and the sauce helped to make it more special.

How to book a table?

You can book on their website indiespicegrill.ie/swords or just give them a call (01) 807 7999. The restaurant is huge, even fully booked I felt we were keeping the social distance! So, it is a great option if you want to enjoy your night safely!

Thank you, guys!
