Restaurant: Wallace's Asti

Cuisine? Italian (Sardinian)

How much? 30 for 2 course

Where? Dublin

If you are like me, love going out to enjoy tasty food in a nice place, this post is for you.

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure to experience a dinner at Wallace's Asti where we could not only try different plates but also learn more about the traditional Sardinian dishes (the staff was super helpful, we really loved their recommendations and specialties).

Wallace's Asti combines locally sourced fresh foods with the finest Italian imports, offers, as well as pizzas, the finest selection of pasta, grilled meats, fish, wines and craft beers. A modern comfortable establishment conveniently located in Drumcondra.

Starters

Among many options we asked the Chef for recommendations for every dish. The starter could not be more "Mari's style" than the Tagliere Sardegna, which was a selection of artisan cured meats and cheeses, grilled vegetables, artichokes, pieces of bread and olives.

Believe me, it is not only beautiful, but the best way to enjoy your glass of wine.

The Chef also sent us this tasty Marinated salmon with beetroot, mint, dill, orange and lemon zest, beetroot mayo, and seasonal vegetables! I am always more than happy to try new dishes and this one was delish!

I can’t forget to mention the PASTA STRAWS! They are an eco-friendly alternative to the traditional plastic options. Noodles are biodegradable, so they can compost them when you're finished with your drink!

 Amazing, isn’t it?

LESS WASTE OFF PAPER AND MORE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET!

As you can see, the sustainable idea does not stop! You will get your personal MENU and if you bring it back with you next time, you will get 15% off on your bill

Whoop!

Main Course

For main we went for:

Fregola ai frutti di mare, hand-made little spherical pasta with mixed seafood, cherry tomatoes, chilli, white wine sauce.

Zuppa di pesce was a seafood stew with a fillet of fish, mixed shellfish, tomato sauce white wine, garlic toasted bread.

The presentation of the dish was gorgeous and they were huge dishes.

Once again YUMMY YUMMY!

Dessert

The dessert could not be different, right? Just DELISHHH!

We had to share 'cause by this time I was so full (and happy, of course) that I could not handle one dessert only for myself (yeah, I regretted sharing it the next day haha).

After all of that, we have to agree that it's definitely a great option to spend the evening, right?
