Thai Restaurant in Dublin!

Sunday 16 August 2020

Dublin 2, Ireland

Restaurant: Red Torch Ginger Dublin

Type of Restaurant? Thai Cuisine

How much? 13€ for a Pad Thai (early bird), but it is 21dinner time, bottle of wine €27

Where? Dublin 2

Value & Quality? pretty tasty, but pricy for dinner.

Well, me and one of my friends went for a date to enjoy our day off. We were just chatting away when we talked about our trip together to Thailand back in 2018 and how great it was... talking about the drinks and the food (WOW and how amazing was that!) we decided to find a Thai place to get a nice Pad Thai.

It was dinner time and we were starving as we have had a long day.

We found Red Torch Ginger Dublin at St. Andrew Street. The place looked pretty nice, very nice atmosphere and the decoration made us feel like we were back in Thailand.

They had plenty of options, but we stuck to the Pad Thai that we were looking for... and OMG it was so delicious, just what we were looking for... it is also very well served, so yeah, I highly recommend!

My only suggestion would be to go for lunch or in the afternoon due to prices, we paid almost the double that we would have paid if it was the early bird. You can find early bird deal for 23.95€, including starter + main course + tea/coffee.

They also have some deals for sets, like starter + main + dessert + glass of wine = 39 to 45 per person, depending on what you pick.

This is just a pic of my beautiful friend enjoying her Tofu Pad Thai while I am bothering her trying to take some pics. I can see her saying "Leave this f* phone and eat your meal, MARIANA!" hahaha

Just messing, I'd say all my real friends know me quite a bit by this time and they love and respect me the way I am... like I do with them!

(yeah, right... I think sometimes they lose their patience haha)

OH YEAH, I can't not forget to suggest this wine... it is WONDERFUL!

This was one of the best Rose that I have ever had! If you are a rose lover like us, I'd definitely recommend it!

We paid 27€ for the bottle, what I think is very fair.

Well, hope you guys liked it!

If you wanna enjoy quality Thai food, this would be a great place to go!

This starter and the next courses are being added later on this post,  as I had a second opportunity to have dinner at Red Torch Ginger.

My boyfriend’s Mother brought us out to have a nice dinner at Red Torch Ginger in Kildare. I ordered the pork belly above and I could not be happier… so tasty, reminded me about the ones we make in Brazil!

This was the main course suggested by the Cheff as I said I really wanted to have duck that night. The Crispy Duck Tamarind was unbelievable! So delicious, exactly what I was looking for!

For those who prefer sea food, I heard that Druken Prawns is really great!

I did not try it, but my boyfriend’s Mother has an amazing taste! So if she said, I trust her!

Another great point that I have to mention is the cocktails…  I had maybe the best cocktails that I have ever had in Ireland, they were a bit pricey I would say, but they were definitely worth it!

So, I would highly recommend not only the wines as I said previously (first night we got a bottle of Rose and the second night a bottle of Rioja, both were perfect), but also the cocktails.
