My FIRST experience in a Restaurant after lockdown!

Sunday 12 July 2020

Terenure, Dublin, Ireland

Restaurant: JD’s Steakhouse

Type of Restaurant? Steakhouse

How much? Dinner for 2 (€55) + bottle of wine (€26)

Where? Terenure, Dublin 6

Value & Quality? BRILLIANT!

Honestly I could not be happier about having dinner here!

When Calvin texted me on Friday saying "Babe, bring something to wear out tomorrow night" I was like... "What? Yuppie, uhuuuulll, yes yes yes!"

And before he said where we would go, I could not stop thinking about us having a great time in JD's Steakhouse, like... honestly, it had to be our first restaurant after lockdown as it was for sure the place we spent most of our dinners at the weekends the past couple of years!

Of course, when I asked where we were going he told me another place and mentioned that he had tried JD's Steakhouse, but it was fully booked... silly funny babe!

About our Favorite Dishes

So, here is the best tip: get the VOUCHER on their website for €55!

4 COURSE MEAL FOR 2, valid 7 days a week. It is amazing value!

Get the voucher by clicking here.

Me and Calvin have tried most dishes of the MENU and I can honestly say that everything is brilliant, but we have our favorites. As starters we always go for the Deep Fried Brie served with a chilli dip.

It will become your passion if you are also a Cheese Lover like me! It's the perfect match for the brie with the sweet chilli sauce.

About The Main Courses...

The Tomahawk has been our first choice for a while now, but you will be happy with any of the steaks, they come to the table exactly the way you ask. I like mine medium well and they always make it right.

We have tried almost all of them and I can highly recommend the Blue Cheese Fillet Steak, Rib-eye Steak and the T-Bone Steak!

  • All steaks are served with a side of your choice: chunky chips, cheese & garlic potato, creamy mash potato, vegetables or salad & peppercorn sauce, mushroom sauce, garlic butter or BBQ sauce.

You can check the entire MENU by clicking here.

Would you like some Dessert?

As I got too happy along with the dinner (yeah, happy, not drunk hahaha)...

I mean I was really enjoying my time after so long without going out that I completely forgot about the dessert picture (I might take it next time I go there and add to this post). I am using this pic to represent the dessert. It was in one of Calvin's birthday Celebrations last January.... and yeah, he was about to drop it if he kept holding his plate like that for 1 more second... hahaha

The staff is always so sweet and treats us with so much love and attention every time we pop in for dinner.

About the desserts, for while I was asking only for Creme Brulée, what is delicious, but I have recently decided to go for the delicious Berry Meringue Pie. Calvin always orders Cheesecake of the day or Banoffee, he just loves them!

The 4th course includes any tea or coffee, I've never ordered mine... I am too full at all at this point...
