Restaurant: Zakura

Cuisine? Japanese

How much? 18 for 2 course

Where? Dublin

For all the Japanese food lovers, this week we had the pleasure to have dinner at Zakura Noodle & Sushi Restaurant, located at Wexford street, Dublin 2.

It is mouthwatering! And you will pay less than you would pay in most of the Japanese Restaurants around the area! The sushi from Zakura is made fresh by order and never leftover from the previous hour.

Perfect, right? All we want is great quality food with good value!

As  starters they prepared a selection of their specialties, I have to say that was a great way to welcome us to the place!

The "Chef Selection" turned out a good variety of choices. It was flavored with just the right amount of seasoning and each grain is well cooked which can be tasted individually and also holds very well together...as how sushi should be made! The sashimi slices were thick.

Points to the Chef!

Well, by the time I left the place I was a bit happier than I was expecting hahaha as they have nice options of Japanese beer, wine and of course, a lovely sake!

For the wine lovers, listen to this...

You can bring your own wine bottle at Zakura (BYOW), Yeah!!!

That is perfect, isn't it?

You pay only a €6 corkage per bottle.

What can be better than drinking your fav wine, in a nice location, enjoying nice food with your loved ones?

Now let's talk about the star of the show!

The Chicken Ramen was unreal! Super tasty and it won as our fav dish of the night!

It is only €13.95. It was a huge portion, we both loved how it was seasoned, and served the 2 of us, basically.

It is noodles in a lightly spicy chicken and pork soup topped with grilled chicken and pak choi, garnished with spring onion and menma.

The Ebi Gyoza is an awesome starter! Super well made, I asked for another one in the end to chat a bit while enjoying my wine. For only 7.30€ you get the Ebi Gyoza that is homemade prawn and garlic chive dumpling steamed and grilled and served with gyoza sauce.

Yummy, yummy!

The sushi that had my heart was the Salmon Rocket, the cream cheese and salmon is my fav combination so far! You can get 8 pieces for 8.30€.

It was a nice experience to visit this Zakura Restaurant!!

Good service, nice and cosy space, amazing food (we ate a lot for two people haha).

Highly recommended!!

A special congrats to the kitchen. Great job!

I also can not forget to mention that they also have some nice Japanese desserts available.

So that is it! If you are interested to have some fun, in a nice spot, having nice food,
